Survey Results
The uniform design committee surveyed our parents and players and summarized the responses.
Overall:
- Current uniforms are very heavy, so we should use a lighter material
- Current uniforms have long shorts, we should provide the option for shorter.
- Black shorts are preferred, even for the “light uniforms”
- Opinions on the new design were mixed.
- JV and Varsity jerseys would have the names.
Designs
Here are the top designs from https://champrosports.com/. which is one of the vendors that Play It Again Sports uses for uniforms. We chose this vendor because they had a green that was closest to the Mavericks green logo, and the designer is easy to use, and easy to share.
The following top Designs were gathered by vote from the committee.
Crossover Design
This design is presented on the female jersey but would also be transferred to the male jerseys.
Should we even pursue the option to put the scriptural reference on the shorts?

Quake Design
This design is presented on the female jersey but would also be transferred to the male jerseys.
Should we even pursue the option to put the scriptural reference on the shorts?

Two Greens with Horns
This design is presented on the female jersey but would also be transferred to the male jerseys. This one only has the design on the dark, but we would also transfer to the lighter jersey.

Materials
The options provided by Play it Again Sports:
- Single ply one-sided jersy
- Double ply reversible (what players and parents have said is too thick)
- Single-ply reversible (would save money, and be lighter weight than double-ply)
More About the Single-Ply Reversible
Kerri worked with Play It Again and had her hands on fabric samples. They only had two samples, one was the 2-ply reversible and one was the single-ply reversible. The 2-ply was just like the ones we had. The single ply felt just as heavy as the 2-ply. The single ply fabric seemed like it might be a little more moisture wicking than what we have, but it still felt heavy and thick to me. It seemed like it would not be much different than our existing reversible jerseys.
If anyone wants to go by the Columbia Play It Again store to see the samples, feel free. They are under Mavericks/ Kerri Henness. Be sure to mention that they are basketball uniforms not baseball. They wouldn’t let the samples leave the store. However, when we decide on a style, they will order a sizing sample, and they will let us take that with us.
