The national tournament is an exclusive homeschool tournament with a Christian emphasis that attracts teams from all over the nation from 12U to 18U, boys and girls. Brackets are divided by age, gender and division (program size). Each team will play 1 game a day with the goal of winning their bracket.

Location:
The main headquarters is John Q Hammons Student Center on the campus of Missouri State University at 731 East Monroe Street.

There are 30+ gyms used in Springfield. A coded map with addresses will be available in order to know where our team will play. The brackets determine which gym and what court (for multi-court gyms).

Special Opportunities at Nationals:
*Regional Awards
*3-point Tryouts (over 400 athletes attempt to make it to the 3-point contest on Monday
night.  Sign up early on Sunday to try out.)
*Slam Dunk Contest (video nominations are polled on Social Media for a spot in Monday
night’s contest.  Finalists will be determined over the weekend preceding Nationals.
Watch Facebook to participate in the pools.)
*Sports broadcasting – play by play and color commentating (email rob@flattmail.com)
*Gold Ball Showdown
*Team Awards:  Each coach gets 3 awards to give to their team–All-Tournament, MVP,

Gold Ball Showdown Series (GBSS)
“The GBSS format is designed to allow each teams attending Nationals the opportunity to compete against teams similar in gender specific (boys or girls) program size en route to a Gold Ball. Upon winning a Gold Ball they will then have the opportunity to see how they stack up against the best from each class. The tournament is not over once a team has been eliminated from Gold Ball contention as they will mix in with other classes and continue to compete, whether it is for Division II Championship, Bronze Ball Bracket, or the Silver Ball Showdown Series.”   –NCHCLive.com

For example, 18U Boys Division III may be divided into 2 brackets, 7A and 8A.  The winners of each bracket win a gold ball and play for the Undisputed Champion of Division III earning them a 2nd gold ball.  Loser of the gold ball game goes into the Silver Ball Showdown.
