Community
Homeschool families operate our own schools and administrate our own programs. In the basketball program, we have the opportunity to come together as a community for the best interest of our teams and our Mavericks family. Each player individually affects the team as a whole. Therefore, community is cultivated through helping and supporting one another to provide a great experience for our athletes through carpooling and other assistance as needed.
Volunteer Needs
We are a volunteer-run program providing an place for our children to play basketball. Within that framework, we come together to fill the roles necessary to run the program. Each season, families will pitch in to help in these areas:
For ALL Games:
Keeping stats and book
Running the video camera (with the Mavericks’ camera).
For HOME Games:
Set up/tear down.
Running clock.
Working the gate and concession stand.
Throughout the Season:
Helping with fundraisers and events (such as the Spring Banquet)

Costs and Fees
Besides the registration fees, costs may include uniforms, away gate fees, travel expenses, tournament gate fees, tournament souvenir t-shirts, and tournament hotel reservations. Junior High teams do not have any hotel or tournament travel/expenses.
Gate fees are not charged for our families during home games. Away gate fees can range from $1-4/individual, $5-9/family.
Junior High uniforms are borrowed from the team for the season. High school players would buy their uniform for a one-time cost of $89.
